Geez, can you believe it?? Thanksgiving is just three weeks away, with only about seven weeks 'til Christmas!!
Ann and I just got back from Quilt Market and, as always, we had a ball! The only down side to Market was the OVER ABUNDANCE of modern fabric and their patterns. Now I'm not complaining about the modern quilting movement, we've got a section of that at the West Center store and it's really fun. It's just that I can't stock two entire stores with it and pay the bills ... no matter what the fabric companies seem to think... big sigh.
Anyway ... it took a lot of scouring the market (I think I lost three pounds just walking and rewalking the aisles - I wish.) .... but I'm really lovin' what we did find this year for ya!
First, although the patterns won't be ready until next month - I just have to show you one of our favorites - "Celebrations", a series of smaller quilts centered around the holidays or seasons ....
Bittersweet
Merry and Bright
Most of these beauties are for a table top, or as a wall warmer, or over the back of a sofa. I think the sizes varied from around 46" square to around 53" square - a really "doable' size for the holidays. Wantta see a couple more??!
Yard Party
Snowbound
Don't cha just love that snowman topper??! Man, when we saw these beauties we KNEW we had to buy 'em all!!
I've got some more pictures from market that I'll try and share with you in the next week. I still haven't downloaded the ones from my phone - maybe, this weekend, huh?
Seeww... stay tuned .... there's more from market coming up.
I HAVE to have the Snowman one!!! That is just so darling!!!!

I really like those small quilts!! They are wonderful and small enough to make them appealing to me. I like all of them but the snowmen really took my eye..keep use informed when you get them ready to sell...thanks. And I agree about the modern fabrics, I just can't work with them, it's just not in me!!! I'm way too traditional, I guess..

Sandy,
Thanks for the comment - I love hearing from everybody about what they like! I think were going to start with the snowman quilt - available as either just a pattern or pattern with kit - but I gotta wait until we get them in to know if we can kit em.
Thanks for the agreement about the contemporary fabric ... and its just not you and me, but a bunch of us that have this problem. Hopefully, its just a fad, huh?
