Just a reminder that May signals the first meeting for our (now annual!) Country Sampler Quilt Club. If you didn't attend the informational meetings, I thought I'd give ya the scoop... along with a few pictures, of course!
Once again, we're doing an awesome block of the month by Bits 'n Pieces, called "Crystal Bright". Here's a picture of it in their booth this last fall at Quilt Market - isn't it gorgeous??!
And, like all our Quilt Club quilts - it's a big one, Edith, 86" x 110" - but it's surprising easy to complete with your monthly meeting and all the tips and techniques that Ann and Sandy have to share with you.
We're doing the quilt in two colorways... patriotic (like above) and in a batik version in rich browns, blacks, golds, and creams. At the April informational meetings, the gals showed off their centers to give ya an idea of the direction we're going.
Here's the center for our patriotic version - so pretty ...
And here's the center of the batik version - gor-ge-ous!
Sooo, you say... how does this club thing work?? Well, in a nutshell...
* The initial cost of club is $6.00. At the time you join, you'll sign up for one of the May Club dates, purchase the complete pattern ($36.95), and choose either the patriotic or batik version (A hard decision, I know!).
* The club then works on the "Buy one block kit, get one free" - - as long as you attend each monthly meeting and finish both of the last month's blocks by your next meeting. There are 14 pieced blocks that will qualify for the "buy one, get one free" program. AND, here's the good news... even with the rising price of fabric; we've kept the cost of our block kits at $6.00 - a real bargain!
* There will be kits available for the center block - and alternate blocks will be made from fabric you choose. Final borders and binding ideas and fabric will be presented towards the end of Quilt Club, so you can personalize your quilt.
Now... as with everything .... there's a little fine print and even more information available in the form of a little flyer that we have available at both stores - but ya want to jump on this quick, Edith, so you can make it to the first meetings in May.
We have five meetings available in month (meetings lasts about an hour). Here's a schedule for the May meetings...
Papillion
Thurs., May 26th - 1:00 and 6:00
Saturday, May 21st - 10:00
Omaha
Thurs., May 19th - 1:00 and 6:00
We hope to see ya there!
Lovin' the quilt. The fabric looks really fine and of high quality, the design is perfect and the mix and match of colors are great.

Love this quilt. How do I get pattern I’m in Arkansas and not heading to Omaha??

Kay,
We no longer have that pattern, but if you go to the Bits n Pieces website you should find it there and can order directly from them.
