Well, I've been keeping this a secret but I guess it's time to let you know ... I completely lost my mind at Quilt Market --- but I had help. Let me explain...
For the last three years, I've been fondling the Cosmos thread at market. I've taken home samples of the thread and I embroidered with it and fell in love with it ... but never bought it. This market was no exception. If you've never heard of Cosmos thread, it's simply the BEST embroidery floss on the market. It's made in Japan and it makes all other thread feel like burlap... whereas this thread is more like silk (although it's 100% cotton AND totalty colorfast). And look how beautiful the colors are - 443 colors, to be exact!
And the thread doesn't tangle when you pull it apart or knot when you're stitching with it.
And did I tell you that Meg, from Crabapple Hill and Anne, from Bunny Hill, use it exclusively now?? Yup... it's ALL they'll use.
I was still trying to decide (my husband says I'm "a thinker"), when Ann finally said - "Just buy it". And I heard my husband voice in my head, "Go BIG or go home", so I bought it... all of it - all 443 thread colors with the cabinet!!
Thousands of dollars worth of embroidery thread -- see, I did lose my mind!! And it all arrives at the West Center store in January! The plan now is to turn the DMC threads and cabinets over to the Papillion store and West Center will carry the Cosmos thread. A little 'sumpin for everybody!
I'll let you know when it arrives -- you're gonna want to try this embroidery thread, Edith. It'll be love at first stitch!
Question ?? Can this thread be used with the long stitch kits??
