Well, you know it's the end of summer when this arrives in the quilt shops...
Yup, just arrived yesterday! Several great shops and their quilts are waiting inside the cover.
Also, check out this new issue of The Country Register...
Barbara asked me to write an article about Country Sampler and our upcoming 20th anniversary!
I'm suppose to be writing the fall newsletter, as we speak. Wish me luck, so far I'm pretty uninspired ... sigh.
First, we're having a great time with our Quilter's Market Days! Even "moi" ended up bringing some goodies home with me - there's just something about a sale, isn't there? We've still got a couple of days left - the sale goes through Sunday - so stop by one of the stores and take a look at all the "treasures".
Secondly, let me introduce you to this young lady....
This is Bradie Schmidt. Those of you who shop the West Center store may recognize that last name -- she's Sally Schmidt's granddaughter. Isn't she sooo pretty??!!
Bradie won a purple ribbon for her dress at the Washington County Fair! Her grandma helped her sew this beauty and, of course, they bought the fabric at Country Sampler. Now, Bradie goes to the Nebraska State Fair to compete. You go girl!!
Waaaa Hooo! The Silent Auction has begun. Come on in and get your number and let the bidding begin!!
Every couple of years we take our retired quilt models, wall warmers, and a few odds 'n ends beauties and line the walls of both classrooms and put them all up for sale! I've got a few pictures of what's up for bidding at the West Center store...

Sorry about the boxes in the picture below. We had a HUGE Marcus Bros. order come in right before I took the picture and since they're full of fabric, I didn't feel like moving 'em all to take a photo.
And since there are different models at each store, you're going to want to check out BOTH Country Samplers!
AND, if that isn't enough... this Thursday marks the beginning of our four day Quilter's Market Days!! (I'm not sure who scheduled these two BIG events together, but she ought to have her head examined!)
Quilters have brought it tons of really needful things like fabric, quilt kits, books, patterns, magazines, and notions; and put them all up for sale at garage sale prices!
