Well, it's 12:48 am, New Year's Eve Day, and I'm still awake so I thought I'd post a short blog note. Tomorrow (err... later today) is the first day of our BIG annual Fat Quarter Frenzy and although I've done this for upteen years, I always get a little "frenzied" the night before any big event. This is the first time in 19 years that we've been open on a holiday too - so that will be unique. I gotta tell you that not all the staff was thrilled with the idea of working on a holiday, but I managed to pull a few good sports and great friends to come in and work, and I'm hoping it will be a little extra festive just 'cause it's the new year.
Both stores have thousands (no really, thousands) of fat quarters stacked in the classroom just waiting to find new homes. Be sure and check out both Papillion and West Center because we really do have lots of different sale fabric at each store. If you've never been to Fat Quarter Frenzy before, it's 20 ft. qtrs. for just $25.00 to get you started. (And trust me Edith, finding 20 good ones is a snap!) Then, if you need more (and you know you do!) addition fat quarters are just $1.25 each - buy 'em by the bag full!!! (We have to do inventory next week and we REALLY don't want to count 'em!)
Hey, and don't worry if you can't get to the shops 'til Sunday, we always have a great selection left and we always seem to cut more on Saturday - just to fill in the holes! So come see us and so me a favor... give the gals working an extra little "attaboy" for volunteering their holiday.... they deserve it!
