Last Saturday was the first in our series of Mini Mystery Retreats and we had a great time! We all met at a local Lutheran church in Papillion at 12:00 and Ann and I gave out the first of our eight "clues" to the gals. We had about 18 quilters there and it was so much fun! Not only did we quilt, but we ate too!
There were muffins, brownies, and this to-die-for fruit pizza that Sandy made....
And, Jodi brought root beer floats... 'cause ya know... all work and no root beer floats makes Edith a dull quilter!
We sewed, and sewed, and then... a few minutes before 4:00, we unveiled the finished runner and the mystery was solved! Most of the gals were either finished except for the borders or they were ready to put all the blocks together by the time we left. This is a looong runner, 64" , and it looks so neat on a dining room table. (Sorry the lighting in my dining room leaves a lot to be desired.)
Here's one of the "almost" finished beauties from the retreat. Can you see the leaf border fabric in her hand?? Perfect.
Anyway... we've got three more Mini Mysteries planned during September, October, and November. We'd love to see ya there! Come on in to one of the shops and sign up soon... We'll leave the light on!
