Well, the BIG weekend is over... whew! Thanks to everyone who came to see us, we always like to see your smiling faces. I took a few pictures at the West Center Store to share with those of you who didn't make it (and those that did!). My camera went dead after all the photos I took at the Omaha store; but hopefully, I'll get ya a few pictures of the Papillion store this week.
This year when you came in the front door, we greeted you with a taste of autumn and Halloween. Carol had already taken down all the quilts from the walls, beams, etc., so we started our make over by moving ALL the red fabric from the front area and changed it over to blacks - just so it would look a little more Halloweenee. Then... we moved ALL the black and white fabric and replaced it with some new yummy flannels in fall colors - we just got tons of new flannels in last week! (Okay, maybe my husband's right - we might have tooo much fabric!) Then... we moved some furniture and got to work on the displays. The spider webs are a nice touch, don't cha think? Ha... we'll see how long they last!
Here's a table with the autumn goodies - don't cha just love that big hanging quilt made from Kansas Trouble fabric??? The pattern is called, Bali Sea Star, but once we made it in country colors it didn't look like a Sea Star at all - whatever that is??!!
Below is a little better picture of a new quilt Tanya made for the big day. The pattern is from the book Summer Gatherings, by Primitive Gatherings, called Fireflies, and it's a beauty. She used Thangles to get those nice little points ... didn't it turn out great?
Over the fabric bolt holders we hung more great quilts for the season...
This first one is from Riley Blake fabric, Boo to You, and it's sooo fun! Melissa had her eye on this even before the pattern came in and she did a wonderful job!
This is one of Lori's, called J*A*C*K by Buttermilk Basin.... he's quite the Halloween charmer and not too hard either! He'd look VERY cute on your door or your entry, Edith!
Jane made Indian Summer (the black checkerboard quilt), and Carol made the wonderful Churn Dash quilt - Over, Under, Around, and Through - from the Country Comforts book.. Both turned out really stunning and perfect for fall!
Sharon made this really cool, penny wool pillow for us, from a kit by Primitive Gatherings (oh, and we've got a wool pillow kit with stars too!)....
My mom made this amazing rug hooked "Autumn" wall hanging for us. Again, from a pattern by Buttermilk Basin... Just yummy...
And, of course, there was TONS of Halloween fabric this year. This is the Riley Blake fabric, called, Boo to You....
And, besides the usual oranges for Halloween, we've got lots of fun purples for the holiday. Aren't they awesome????...
And some spooky blacks... with pumpkins, spider webs, skeltons, and ghosties - oh, my!
Soooo .... that's a little bit of the fall and Halloween from your ole buddies here at Country Sampler West. I'll try to post more pics on the Christmas displays later.... stay tuned and start sewing! The holidays are going to be here in the blink of an eye!

I'm honored that you made "Over, Under, Around, and Through" from my Country Comforts book! It looks wonderful. Thank you for sharing it online.
