I'm going to try and take a few pictures, but suddenly everyone is so camera shy if they think their picture might be on the blog. I told them that both of you who read this blog LIKE to see their pictures, but nobody listens --- as usual. Big sigh. Sometimes owning a quilt shop is like talking to teenagers... everyone just roll their eyes, mutter "What ever", and walk away.
So, I guess if you planned to come see us on Sunday this is BAD news, but it's GREAT news for all of us!!
Now the problem is what to bring!!???
I always bring too much to work on (I'm know I'm not the Lone Ranger here. I've seen what you guys bring to work on at a quilt retreat!). I'm definitely going to bring my Farmer's Wife paper piecing blocks to work on. I think we'll have this block of the month ready to preview this next week at the shops. We have our Borders Crossing Bus Trip next Friday, so I really want to have all my ducks in a row by then.
Here's my blocks so far .....
In that upper right hand corner you'll see a couple of blocks that still need to be put together - probably not today, tho. And here's the other side of the sewing machine table....
Yup... they're small blocks but the "fall-out" seems to encompass the whole sewing room. Hey, I'm probably just lucky it hasn't taken over the living room and kitchen yet. When my husband is out of town I tend to sew acccroooosssss the house - no room is safe from the quilting bug!
I have two purse patterns that are all cut out and could go too, plus two charm pack projects from this book...
Plus....I have five totes of half finished projects, including a baby quilt that REALLY needs to get done as a model for the the West Center Store. And a birthday gift for my daughter's birthday in June, and.....
Another big sigh.... I'll think about that tomorrow... tomorrow's another day and I've got two days to decide....URGGHHHHH.

Sounds like Sun will be a lot of fun--wish I could be there but I'll look forward to the pics. I'm intrigued by the "Farmers Wife" quilt but I'm not sure I'm up to that--I have a closet full of UFO projects. Happy stitching from TX!

Looking forward to seeing staff retreat photos! I love to see what everyone's working on -- thanks for sharing the "Farmer's Wife" photos. :-)
