Ahhh, holiday shopping. Have you started yours yet?
I find the whole business kinda frustrating.
Not because of the crowds, or the malls, or the indecision of what to buy everybody.
NOPE.
The biggest problem is that I find too many things that I want. Thus the whole... One present for you... one present for me ... dilemma.
For instance. Art to Heart's newest book has just arrived in the shops and the website.
The book includes projects to use and organize your sewing and creating space. (Something we all probably need, huh?) It has a wonderful collection of pincushions, needle wallets, scissor chatelaines, sewing project bags, an organizer, a sewing basket and scissor fobs. Just cute small projects that would made excellent little gifts for friends and family.
AND, Jo Morton has reprinted her fabulous book, Remembrances.
If you didn't get this book the first time around (I DID, I DID!), you'll want it this time. Enough shop owners "whined" to Jo about discontinuing this book (myself included), that she finally reprinted it. (Yeah, who says whining doesn't pay off, huh?) Oh, and as a side note, we're going to be running a new Jo's Little Women's Club in the new year so stay tuned for more information after the first of the year!
See? Wouldn't either one of these books - or both - look great in your Christmas stocking or under the tree? So I was thinking....
Not always a good thing, but ...
In the next few days, I'll be blogging about some "must-have, needful things" for the quilters on Santa's list. You can do with it as you wish, of course....but how 'bout printing some of them off and leaving them placed strategically about the house for "someone" to see??! (Did I tell you my son once bought me a "Grow Your Own Edible Wheat Grass" kit one year??? Big sigh....) Just think about it, Edith, you may actually get something you want this year!!!
And, since I'm a roll... in each blog I'm going to included some last minute projects that can still be made in plenty of time for Christmas!! Know really! These are going to be great gift ideas that can be made in an afternoon or in just one day. And they're all waiting for you at Country Sampler!! Be still my little "quilting-gift giving-heart!! Plus, if they're on the Country Sampler website, I'll let ya know that too!
Then, if that isn't enough (and it never is)... at the end, there's going to be a BIG giveaway!! I'll have more information on that later - just trying to tempt ya a liddle bit now - so stay tuned and ENJOY!!

It's so much fun to read this blog. Jo Morton is one my favorites! Glad you are having "Jo's Little Women" club in 2010.
